He may be the grandpa of rock, but Paul McCartney isn't afraid to experiment with technology. Following in the footseps of Bjork and Lady Gaga, the former Beatle has released five of his classic solo items as iPad apps. "Band on the Run", "McCartney", "McCartney II", "Ram", and "Wings Over America" are all available at the app store through Concord Music priced at $7. The apps include remastered audio and are packed with extras such as original artwork, interviews, behind-the-scenes photos and other information about the recordings.

Bjork's Biophilia App, which included interactive elements for each song, was one of the first albums to be released for iPad and was recently inducted into the permanent collection of MOMA in New York. Lady Gaga released her artPOP album for iPad and other examples include Jay-Z's "Magna Carta Holy Grail."
