Editor's Pick

Penguin Children's Books comes out with the new Me Books app that lets kids interact with the brand's titles while adding their own personalized touches. The app lets you touch "hotspots" on pages which then bring the book to life through pre-recorded sounds. You can also touch and draw around text, then record your own narration using the device's microphone, allowing anyone to add their own voice and sounds to the stories. Personalities like Adam Buxton and Josie Lawrence have also provided narration for classic tales. At launch the app comes with Ladybird Classics "The Zoo," for 69p, while 13 other classics like "The Gingerbread Man," "Jack and the Beanstalk" and "Cinderella" will be available as in-app purchases of 1.99 pounds each.
