Although NFL star Marshawn Lynch is famous for being "allergic" to talking to the media, it looks like Pepsi got the Seattle Seahawks pro to speak for its latest spot.

Well, sort of. He endorses the brand with a surprisingly girly voice, with the help of comedian Andree Vermeulen, who recites the script in the background as Mr. Lynch lip synchs. In a nod to his "Beast Mode" nickname, the spot finishes with Lynch saying "Speech Mode."

The ad was quietly posted on Pepsi's YouTube page last weekend and has since garnered some media attention, and more than 720,000 views.

BBDO New York created the spot, a Pepsi spokeswoman confirmed to Ad Age. It represents a reunion of sorts between the brand and the agency, who had lost the brand Pepsi U.S. account in 2008, after a storied, nearly 50-year-long relationship.

The spokeswoman also confirmed that the ad would soon be running on TV.
