After years of soap companies trying to get away from stereotypical detergent marketing, Procter & Gamble is taking a trip down memory lane.

Limited editions of retro-packaged Tide, Bounce and Downy are available at Target this month. The vintage packaging recalls Tide's early print advertising, with mention of 'washday' and old-fashioned housewives in dresses and heels. P&G is aiming to show that while technology may have changed, Tide is still the trusted brand for getting families' clothes clean.
