U.K. Ad for Prince's Trust Charity Urges Employers to Look Again

Published on

Editor's Pick

U.K. youth charity The Prince's Trust (which is backed by Prince Charles) created a mock profile of a "homeless person" on LinkedIn as part of a campaign urging employers to look with fresh eyes at young people from troubled backgrounds. When people view the profile, they're invited to view a "video CV" which leads to this powerful film by CHI and Partners. It shows scenes of young people coping with difficult or violent situations at home, while their voiceovers, sometimes in tears, list the kinds of "skill sets" you'd normally find on a resume -- communications skills, resilience, fast learning. The film, directed by Seb Edwards at Academy Films, is also running on TV and in cinemas.
