Qualcomm Places 'Kaiju' Footprints in San Diego Stadium to Promote 'Pacific Rim'

The Monsters Are Here

Editor's Pick

Guillermo Del Toro's upcoming "Pacific Rim" is basically an attempt to bring Japan's Kaiju (monster) films (a la "Godzilla") back into popularity, at least in the U.S. Qualcomm, a partner of the Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures flick, is taking that mission seriously, with this stunt around San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium that placed Kaiju footprints in and around the field. The footprints are massive craters, as shown in this video taken from a helicopter.

The brand also released this video, starring Sgt. Max Johnson as he gives a field reporting stating that the Kaiju have indeed "made landfall" in California.
