London academics make Twitter feed live on after your death

Editor's Pick

What if your Twitter feed could carry on even after you die? An R&D project from Queen Mary University in London and agency Lean Mean Fighting Machine could make this idea a reality. The technology (which hasn't actually launched yet) would analyze the dead person's tweets and set up a new feed in which they "live on" by reacting to events on Twitter in the way would they would have done while alive. While the agency admits "this could be very comforting for some, or completely freak people out", it already has over a thousand (live) people interested in participating in trials.
