There are many uses for toilet paper, but making a wedding dress isn't the first thing that springs to mind.
Still, that didn't stop Quilted Northern teaming up with Cheap Chic Weddings to hold a "Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest." More than a thousand people entered marital gowns made out of tissue, and 10 finalists competed for the prize in the Big Apple. Dressmakers were only allowed to use glue, string and some Quilted Northern Ultra Plush toilet paper.
The winner was Kari Curletto of Las Vegas, but she doesn't appear in this tongue-in-cheek film promoting Quilted Northern's role in the contest, by Droga5. Instead, the hero is the roll of toilet paper itself, revealing its ultimate ambition -- to be something more than just a toilet roll. The film also shows some of the craft that went into the wedding dress-making.
