Ralph Lauren has launched the latest gadget in the wearable craze. Just in time for the start of the U.S. Open, the brand has revealed a tech-savvy tee -shirt that records activity data such as breathing and heart rate. That information is then transmitted to the Ralph Lauren app on smartphones via bluetooth.

The compression shirt pairs apparel design with biometric technology out of OMSignal and is made of a yarn blend suitable for most-- from yogis to sprinters. Tennis fans will see ball boys and girls sporting them throughout the current tournament, but for now only a men's design exist, while one suitable to the female physique is still in the works.
