CP+B Creatives Devise Rat Trap to Stop Webcam Hackers

Side Project 'RAT TRAP' is a 3D Printable Design

"Ratting" might be one of the scariest computer hacks out there -- where hackers can remotely switch on your webcam and watch you. The practice is growing, and was the subject of a disturbing short film by a group of Miami Ad School students recently.

A group of Crispin creatives have created the RAT TRAP -- a free 3D printable device that can be clipped onto your computer monitor to cover your cam when you're not using it. The group -- which did this as a side project -- has released the design under creative commons, and the site provides a way to print your own even if you don't have a 3D printer.
