Dead apps get another life, to promote organ donation

Belgian non-profit asks event organizers to transform redundant apps

Editor's Pick

Reborn Apps was created by Duval Guillaume for Belgian not-for-profit Re-Born To Be Alive, which encourages organ donations. The idea is that many events now create their own smartphone apps, which are then redundant once the event is over. So event organizers can now use an update to change their app into a "Reborn" app on the user's phone. When they open the new icon, it gives them information about how to become an organ donor and the opportunity to sign up as one.
