Red Bull continues its quest to let extreme sport athlete Felix Baumgartner freefall from space with its Stratos project, and has released this new teaser video to promote it. The event was previously scheduled for August, but The Red Bull Stratos space capsule was damaged in July's final practice jump. It has now passed high-altitude simulation testing and the launch date has been set for October 8 in Roswell, New Mexico. However, perfect weather conditions are still needed to launch the helium balloon, which is made of plastic that has 1/10th the thickness of a Ziploc bag. The mission is expected to help gather valuable scientific data, as well as breaking several records.
