Countdown to Baumgartner's big jump -- Will it be this weekend?

The Red Bull Stratos project has been more than two years in the making, but will this Sunday be the day it finally happens?

After canceling Tuesday's jump due to gusty winds, reports say all systems are go, and Felix Baumgartner's attempt to become the first person ever to break the sound barrier with his own body, is now scheduled for Sunday, weather permitting.

"When Art told me we were aborting the mission I thought it was a joke," Baumgartner said in a statement. "I thought there is no way, that the conditions were not right. I couldn't tell what was happening with the balloon because I was in the capsule. I want this to happen this year."

The energy drink brand will be broadcasting his jump above Roswell, New Mexico, live at the Red Bull Stratos site. Viewers can also follow the mission on Twitter @redbullstratos and can sign up for alerts on Facebook.
