The Hulk Saves Sao Paulo in Renault's Co-Production With Marvel

Blockbuster-Style Spot From Brazil Promotes the Kwid SUV

Editor's Pick

The Hulk rampages through the streets of Sao Paulo in a blockbuster-style spot from Renault, which worked directly with Marvel on promoting its Kwid compact SUV model in Brazil.

In the film, which boasts Hollywood-style special effects by Framestore, the Hulk goes to the rescue when a rogue satellite enters the atmosphere and head towards Sao Paulo. The hero of the ad, the driver of a Kwid who might just be letting his imagination run away with him, follows the Hulk around the city, negotiating all the hazards a huge, green monster might create (like potholes and burst fire hydrants), and even managing to follow his GPS system in all the chaos. We see him passing by city landmarks like Minhocao, Paulista Avenue and it all culminates with an epic climb up the Altino Arantes building.

The spot is by Brazilian agency Neogama and was directed by Jonathan Gurvit at PBA.
