Rodarte: The Curve of Forgotten Things

Rodarte's golden girl

Editor's Pick

Elle Fanning, actress and star of Somewhere, wanders through dusty oilfields and skips through an empty house in Rodarte, in a short film directed for the fashion label by Todd Cole. She’s searching for something, and eventually, she strikes gold.

The film highlights Rodarte’s spring 2011 collection, inspired by 1970s northern California with a nod to the gold rush. Cole says the title comes from a poem by Richard Brautigan. “The poem and the film are about forgotten things—circles and the curve of time.”
