Oscars Ad From Rolex Poignantly Included Bill Paxton

Spot Celebrates Key Moments of Timekeeping in Film

Rolex ran a spot during last night's Oscars that showed moments from iconic movies in which watches played a key role; and poignantly, it included the late Bill Paxton, in a scene from "Titanic."

Paxton died at the age of 61 the day before the Academy Awards, so it seems his inclusion was inadvertent. Other actors featured in the spot, by JWT New York, include Faye Dunaway (who made headlines for a different reason at last night's ceremony) in "Network," Peter Sellers playing Inspector Clouseau, Michael Caine, Marlon Brando and Paul Newman.
