Sam Butterfield/Dotank Studios: Pilot

The paper airplane gets an iPhone upgrade.

Editor's Pick

Hi-fi becomes lo-fi, and vice versa. Creative Sam Butterfield teamed with London's Dotank Studios to create this just-for-fun app that transforms your iPhone into a WWII fighter plane. With the app installed, realistic sounds go off as players take their phones for nosedives, drop bombs and engage others in dogfights. Pilot is available now on iTunes for $.99, and flyers can enhance their experience with attachable wings, which can be downloaded off the Pilot site. It's kind of like a super deluxe paper airplane, except you can't let go.
