Mobile rival Samsung is the latest brand to take aim at Apple today after news emerged that some customers found their iPhone 6 Plus phones were "bending" in their skinnny jeans pockets. Samsung Mobile tweeted the picture above of the Galaxy Note Edge with the caption "Curved. Not bent."
Elsewhere, one of the best reactions came from Kit Kat, whose long-running tagline "Have a break. Have a Kit Kat" proved the perfect opportunity to have some fun. Its tweet, featuring a broken-in-half Kit Kat bar (the second image in our slideshow above), simply stated "We don't bend, we #break #bendgate #iPhone6Plus." So far, the tweet (by JWT London's creative team) has been retweeted over 7,000 times.
Other brands jumping in to enjoy Apple's misfortunes include rival smartphone maker LG, which tweeted "Our phone doesn't bend, it flexes...on purpose. #bendgate" (third image above), and casual brand Dockers, which helpfully jumped in with a tweet advertising its security side pocket and urging khakis-wearers to avoid #bendgate (fourth image).
Finally, Lenovo tweeted an image of its Yoga laptop with the caption "Bendable by design" along with the hashtags #LenovaYoga, #Bendgate and -- best of all -- #PilingOn.
