Next week in Cannes, Sapient Nitro will be hosting Marco Polo, a Twitter-based geolocation game that will land a few lucky players their own iPads.

The game keeps Cannes-goers up to date on the festival's popular locations and events. Anyone who tweets @SapientNitro with #Marco will receive a reply with #Polo and a link that will take them to a microsite featuring a map and five nearby hotspots. The microsite also features a Hot/Cold meter that will show the player how close he or she is to Marco Polo himself. Those in the "Hot" zone will receive an image of the iPad-carrying Marco to track down and tackle for the iPad.

In order to play, contestants must follow @SapientNitro and enable locations on their accounts.
