Editor's Pick

With AR Lungs, SapientNitro brings augmented reality to an anti-smoking message. The free app was developed in conjunction with doctors to show the horrifying effects smoking has on the human body.

Using an AR Tag, those wanting to try it can use their a webcam or smartphone camera to superimpose medically correct digital lungs over their own picture, then input the number of years they have smoked and the number of cigarettes smoked per day. A non-smoker would see healthy, pink lungs while a heavy smoker would see a visual representation of the damage and discoloration their smoking has caused. SapientNitro worked with medical experts to establish and depict the degree of visual lung damage.
