Scribd is branching out into mobile with the release of its new reading app. The web document hosting service released Float, where you can read any article or book available on the web sans the links and other clutter. The text also "floats," allowing users to tap or swipe whichever way they choose and adapting accordingly. About 150 publications are already partnering with Scribd.
Along with the perks reading apps offer, like font and text size choices, Float is also social, pulling in content from social networks and letting you share what you're reading with your network. The app is available on iTunes.
