Cara Delevingne, turn away now; in fashion, it seems it's the senior citizen who's in demand in 2015 so far. So far we've seen Celine's campaign featuring Joan Didion, Helen Mirren appear as the face of L'Oreal, and now iconic U.K. retailer Selfridges is also celebrating the older person in a project called Bright Old Things. The campaign is a twist on its "Bright Young Things" campaign, which has previously featured young creative talents; this one features the work of people aged from the late 40s to their 80s who have taken up a new career later in life.
They include the likes of Molly Parkin, a journalist who became a successful artist in her 80s, and Tony Gibson, a product designer-turned-vlogger. You can explore their stories on the website or go to a pop-up boutique at the London store to buy products and items designed by the Bright Old Things. There's also an art installation and a series of events, taking place in both London and Manchester. Photographer, illustrator and director Todd Selby, aka "The Selby," curated the project.
