Editor's Pick

Stamen Design and geodata firm SimpleGeo have teamed up to launch Polymaps, a free, open source set of tools and map engines that allow people manipulate their data in the browser in a variety of sophisticated ways.

For example, users can group points into clusters, change which direction on a map is north, see the quality of street surfaces, and drop scaled gradients onto map locations. Check out the Polymaps site for a series of examples illustrating how you can apply the tools to your own projects.
