Skittles Introduces Us to a Candy-Producing, Temperamental Pet Cloud

DDB Chicago Introduces Trio of Spots

Editor's Pick

DDB Chicago goes all-out weird for a trio of new spots for Skittles. Directed by Chris Palmer at Gorgeous, the spots center on "Freddie" the pet cloud, who is a temperamental bit of weather that er, excretes Skittles when he's happy. In the first spot, his elderly owner takes him for a walk that's going well until someone tries to pet him. Other spots see Freddie being taken to the vet and the groomer.

The cloud will also come alive online via a project with PR shop Olson which built a remote-control, Skittles dispensing cloud.

The spots remind us of the much more somber "Cloud" commercial from Guinness, also shot by another Gorgeous director, Peter Thwaites.
