Sky Movies' theme in its recent ads is to take people on a magical journey through different movies, and this year's Christmas spot recreates this, with a twist. It's the adventure of Rosie, a little girl who wants to get rid of the Brussels Sprouts on her plate to be allowed to watch a movie.
Having sneaked under the table with the offending vegetables in her hand, Rosie's journey sees her pass through scenes from "Cinderella," "Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb," "Big Hero 6" and "Avengers: Age of Ultron." From live action to animation, she's inserted into the action in completely faithful recreations. What makes it fun is that in each scenario, she gets rid of a sprout: some in mischievous ways (slipping one into a champagne glass at Cinderella's ball) some in useful ways (pitching one at a threatening dinosaur). It's all cleverly done, and suitably festive too.
