Sodastream Markets Itself As 'Evolved' Soda

Brand fights Big Soda with sustainability credentials

Published on Jun 13, 2013

Editor's Pick

Sodastream continues its fight against Big Soda brands in this print campaign showing the "evolution" of soda and underlining its sustainability credentials (the copy says that you can save 2,000 bottles a year by using this system). The brand has also run TV executions, and a stunt video in Belgium with enviromental group 5 gyres in which an actor plays Belgium’s Federal Minister, Johan Vande Lanotte, announcing that under his leadership, Belgium will be driving up the tax on plastic bottles and eventually banning them. At the end of the video, he strips off his mask and says that the minister should be making this speech, not him.
