Preschoolers now have their own curated playlists on Spotify, and they come with some adorably illustrated graphics.
Spotify revealed the new family-friendly playlists as it relaunched its kids' category this week, as part of a campaign to inspire parents to sing with their children. According to the company, research shows that singing with children from birth can promote early brain and language development. It worked with early childhood organizations Too Small to Fail, Zero To Three and Vroom to create playlists themed around everyday moments like bedtime, bath-time, and traveling in the car.
It commissioned Xavier Gallego, currently creative director at R/GA in New York, who also works under the Instagram handle @eyesores, to create the covers for the playlists. Gallego is originally from Barcelona and his style is influenced by graffiti, minimalist illustration and childish comics. His cute monsters are sure to get kids pressing "play."
