Ad Highlights Its Staples for Students Program

You never know quite what you're going to get with a substitute teacher for the day. But the last person you'd probably expect would be Lady Gaga.

Staples enlisted the pop star to pitch up at an elementary school as a substitute teacher in a new PSA highlighting its Staples for Students school supplies program. As part of the partnership, Staples will donate two million dollars to donorschoose.org and Born This Way Foundation. As well as surprising the class, Lady Gaga talks earnestly about the importance of having the right school supplies at an early age.

The stunt was filmed at the Walter Reed Middle School in Hollywood earlier this month and the students' reactions are cute. "Are you really Lady Gaga?" asks one, no doubt not recognizing Ms. Germanotta dressed like a teacher and not in a meat dress.
