Editor's Pick

To commemorate the legendary Bed-In by John Lennon and Yoko Ono at the Hilton Hotel in Amsterdam in 1969, Steinway & Sons and Hilton are joining forces for an interactive event via DDB Tribal Dusseldorf. A microsite, www.pianoforpeace.com will let people compose their own peace song from March 23-25, using their computer keyboard which will connect to a custom-built robotic arm, and uploading it alongside a photo of themselves. On March 26, the anniversary of the Bed-in, the songs will be played on a special edition Steinway Imagine Series piano in the same suite that Lennon and Yoko stayed in, while the image of each pianist will appear on a screen above the historical bed. The pieces played will be documented on the microsite and be available after the event.
