Stella McCartney has been defending herself against criticism of her designs for Britain's Team GB Olympic kit, pictured here. The designs, created with Adidas, were unveiled last week but have come under fire in the British press and even on Adidas' Facebook page for her take on the Union Jack for being 'too blue' and not containing enough red (the red in the British flag representing England and the St. George's cross). McCartney responded on Facebook saying her intention 'was to keep the language and strength of the Union Flag, but to use it in a more delicate way'.
