Down Under, TDK is launching new lines of speakers, headphones and high-definition stereo systems, explains group head Dean Hamilton at Sydney agency Belgiovane Williams Mackay, "so our task was simple: position TDK as a major player in the sound system category. If you’re not listening to TDK equipment, the sound quality isn't as good as it should be—you're not getting true or original sound." It was a short leap to the print/outdoor idea of celebrity lookalikes, who may be reminiscent of Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue and Ozzy Osbourne, but they're "clearly not the original," he says. Though it's probably a safe bet to say that Ozzy, at least, would pay to look like his lookalike.
