Steve Van Zandt Plays A Man Of Many Faces For Norway's Telenor

Andreas Nilsson of 'Epic Split' Fame Directs Two Minute Spot For Telco

Sopranos actor Steve Van Zandt appears in a variety of different guises in this movie-like two minute ad for Norwegian telcom giant Telenor. Van Zandt, apparently a huge star in the country after starring in a hit TV show there, Lilyhammer, plays "The Chameleon", an undercover operative sent to investigate suspicious behaviour by Norway. The idea is that Norwegians are so advanced that they're being suspected as aliens; Telenor have aroused concern internationally by activities such as opening a Myanmar base station and investing in UFOs (Ultra-fast Fibre Optics). PHD Oslo launched a series of unbranded teasers across print, TV and social in the week leading up to the ad breaking on TV during the Winter Olympics' openign ceremony last Friday.

The spot is directed by Blink's Andreas Nilsson, (who was behind the John Claude Van Damme "Epic Split") and was created by London agency Green Cave People.
