Barbarian Group's Cinder Wins Inaugural Innovations Lions Grand Prix

Cinder has already been used by the likes of Nike and Audi.

Brands including Nike and Audi have already signed up to an innovative new creative coding system developed by the Barbarian Group. Cinder, an open source software development platform for creative coding, gives brands the ability to program graphics, audio, video, networking, image processing and computational geometry, and has so far been used for physical installations, mobile apps, music visualizers and more. Examples of recent work built on Cinder include the Nike FuelBand Wall at 2012 SxSW, multi-touch glass wall The Mill Touch, and a three dimensional LED surface created by Audi for the Miami Art Basel festival (you can see some of the highlights here).  Cinder originated as an in-house tool for The Barbarian Group's internal needs, with the agency releasing the software to the open source community in 2010.

The idea just earned the Inaugural Innovations Grand Prix at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
