The Boston Globe Imagines a World With President Trump on (Satirical) Front Page

To Drive Home a Point, Newpaper's Editors Imagine the Year 2017 Under The Donald's Leadership

To make a not-too-subtle point about a not-at-all-subtle candidate, The Boston Globe produced a satirical front page for its Sunday "Ideas" section that imagines life in America in the year 2017, with Donald Trump in the White House. Beyond the big news -- "DEPORTATIONS TO BEGIN" -- the page includes Onion-esque short bits: references to inside-the-paper stories including "Heavy spring snow closed Trump National Park for the first time since it dropped its loser name, Yellowstone, in January" and "NASA engineers halted the launch of an unmanned probe amid fears that its new gold leaf trim would interfere with radio communications."

The faux front page (you can download a PDF here) accompanies a proper, and entirely serious, editorial titled "The GOP must stop Trump," which begins "Donald J. Trump's vision for the future of our nation is as deeply disturbing as it is profoundly un-American."
