A Round of Thigh Drums Helps Cheer Up the Sad Frosty

Editor's Pick

Now that the Olympics are over, Gold Medal winner Ted Ligety has time to chat with a sad snowflake in this hilarious online video. As Mr. Ligety talks about his successful career as an alpine skiier, his frosty buddy shares his more glum experiences as a creature of the cold, witnessing his fellow flakes succumb to the harsh realities of climate change. That is, until Mr. Ligety cheers him up with a round of the "thigh drums."

The film was created for the Climate Reality Project's "I Am Pro Snow" initiative, which enlists winter sports professionals to band together to educate the community on climate change. The agency repurposed b-roll from Warren Miller's recent film "Ticket to Ride," including some scenes in which Mr. Ligety had been chatting with the boom operator, and used that to create the fictional snowflake conversation. Warren Miller is another partner in the "I Am Pro Snow" effort.
