Today's New York Times Is a Total (Trumpy) Collector's Item

It's an Embarrassment of Riches

Editor's Pick

You may have seen that The New York Times has published a post online headlined "The 281 People, Places and Things Donald Trump Has Insulted on Twitter: A Complete List." Per the article's intro: "Since declaring his candidacy for president last June, Donald Trump has used Twitter to lob insults at presidential candidates, journalists, news organizations, nations, a Neil Young song and even a lectern in the Oval Office. We know this because we've read, tagged and quoted them all. Below, a directory of sorts, with links to the original tweets. Insults within the last 60 days are highlighted."

It's an embarassment of riches -- though a redundant one. Multiple targets, for instance, get the "dopey" designation (e.g., MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell is a "dopey political pundit," while New York Daily News owner Mort Zuckerman is a "dopey clown").

Pro tip: If you're not a subscriber to the paper edition of the Times, you may want to stop by a newsstand today (outside of the New York Metro area, Starbucks stocks the Times), because the inky list is something to behold. Trump's insultapalooza takes up two entire printed pages, and the Times thoughtfully used the center spread of its section A for the piece -- which means it's ready to display as a delightfully mean-spirited poster.

Or maybe you want to buy a bunch of copies to use as wrapping paper? Christmas is going to be here quicker than you think.
