The Inevitable John Lewis 'Man on the Moon' / 'Star Wars' Parody Is Here

It's Like Christmas -- and Overkill -- Came Early!

U.K. retailer John Lewis' holiday ad, "Man on the Moon," has already gone viral with its fantastical narrative and gentle encouragement to "Show someone they're loved this Christmas." Depending on how you feel about the nonstop flood of holiday ads this early in the game, you were either touched or annoyed -- or perhaps both.

Now we have to ask: How do you feel about the nonstop flood of Star Wars hype? And what if Star Wars overkill could be magically combined with holiday-ad overkill? It would be like, uh, Christmas really came early, wouldn't it?

The good/bad news is that the jokers at The Poke have done the inevitable: They've replaced John Lewis' titular man on the moon with none other than Darth Vader.

Spoiler alert: Things don't end well.
