The Sun Readies England Fans for World Cup with A Long Line of Headers

Ad's Soundtrack Will Be Newspaper's 'England Anthem'

Editor's Pick

74 soccer players pass a ball using headers in this campaign by the UK's "Sun" newspaper building on the pre-tournament buzz around the England team. Created by Grey London and directed by Ed Morris of Rattling Stick, it features a line of footballers in a spin on the traditional "karaoke bouncing ball" format. Each passes it in time to the lyrics of the soundtrack -- a cover version of sixties hit The Seekers' "I'll Never Find Another You" by Dexters. Instead of having a name on the back of their their shirt, each player has a word to match the lyric.

The soundtrack -- which the Rupert Murdoch-owned Sun is promoting as its "England Anthem" -- will be available to download free from thesun.co.uk/dousproud, where a hub will collate England fans' messages of support from across social media to the England team in Brazil. The track will also be free to stream via Soundcloud.
