Flora Sigismondi Directs Glowing Spot For Thierry Mugler's Alien

Spot Features Soundtrack By Sigur Ros And A Dress With LED Bulbs

Quad's Floria Sigismondi directed this other-wordly spot for French fragrance house Thierry Mugler, whose latest fragrance is called Alien. It features a model in a dress that literally glows -- inspired by a Thierry Mugler couture creation, it's woven with LED lights and optical fibers which make it light up from the inside. It was shot in the Castello di Sammezzano in Tuscany, where the model is transformed from a dark statue into golden life by a shaft of sunlight. The soundtrack is "Brennisteinn," by Icelandic rockers Sigur Ros (for whom Sigismondi directed the video "Leaning Towards Solace").

You can find out more about how it was done in the Making Of film.
