Nothing says slice-of-life like a road trip with your buddies, as the adventures (and misadventures) along the way usually make for permanent memories and great stories to dish at dinner parties.

Nothing says slice-of-life like a road trip with your buddies, as the adventures (and misadventures) along the way usually make for permanent memories and great stories to dish at dinner parties.

Playing upon this idea, TDA created an 8-bit journey as part of the "Road Trip" campaign for Thule Car Rack Systems. Retro in graphics and interface—essentially a modernization of everyone's favorite game in the school computer lab, "Oregon Trail"; the "Thule Trail" game puts players in the driver's seat, letting them choose their persona (i.e. professional, slacker or student) and then pick the friends they want riding shotgun and in the back. With a budget of over a grand at your disposal, you can load up the car with food and supplies, then hit the road to reach your final destination, the Atlantis Music Festival. Of course, a road trip isn't without its hurdles, and TDA offers several of them in the form of shady hitchhikers, road kill, car trouble and even flatulence from all the fast food your buddies have been digesting.
