Parents, and Grandparents, Get Involved in Spots for the Dating App

Forget Monopoly. Could Tinder become a communal family activity this holidays? The dating app is now available on Apple TV, and to promote it, it's created a series of tongue-in-cheek ads demonstrating how this could transform family life.

The online spots show family and friends chiming in with swiping advice -- from an eavesdropping dad (seen here) who sternly tells his daughter to swipe left when he hears her mentioning a guy that has a "bad boy thing going on," to confused friends, a mom trying to give some unsubtle hints by coughing, or advice about hair, and a grandma who's got hold of the app and is busily swiping 24-year-olds.

While we can't quite imagine everyone wanting their parents as co-conspirators in the online dating game, it's a fun way to show the new platform on which you can use the app.
