Warning! This Wacky Japanese Underpants Ad is Pretty Graphic

Spot for Toot Puts Underpants Through Their Paces in Series of Experiments

Is it us or are we entering a new era of wacky Japanese advertising? In the past week we've had Christmas songs made from snacking noises and miniature bodybuilders on your stovetop, and now this spot from underwear brand Toot sets out to demonstrate the underpants' ability to, er, keep things in place, with a series of "scientific tests. " These include, among other things, getting tackled by a footballer, slapped in the face by a woman, and wrestling a giant rabbit. Oh, and you get to see a lot of close-ups, so it falls into the NSFW category.

Saatchi & Saatchi Fallon Tokyo -- which was also behind Shark's mini bodybuilders -- is the creative agency behind the spot, as well as a website where you can see even more "testing."
