Using Instagram To Bring Silent Movies to Life

Slideshows give a social media audience a taster of silent films

To promote the Toronto Silent Film Festival, which runs from April 4-9, Cossette Toronto is using Instagram to simulate the effects of a silent movie. Three different Instagram accounts use the slideshow view mode within the mobile app to simulate the effect, creating "trailers" to bring some of the films to life.
