"When we sat down to concept this year’s Tacoma print campaign, we knew we had to do something out of the ordinary — something that would allow us to reinvent what our long-running 'Unbreakable' campaign meant," say Saatchi/L.A. creatives Dino Spadavecchia and Napper Tandy. Murals painted on the sides of buildings in high-traffic areas, designed by streetsmart artist Dave Kinsey, were the nifty solution — especially since they incorporate actual sheet metal. This UFO scene is on Wilshire Blvd. in L.A.'s Miracle Mile; the woolly stompers are on Crenshaw Blvd. in Torrance. Each mural took about two weeks to paint, attracting plenty of attention from passers-by, and you can bet there are Mammoth and Alien Invasion making-of videos on YouTube.
