Remember the suburban family house from "Poltergeist?" To celebrate the re-release of the movie, the spacious family home now has its own Trulia listing. While it features all the usual info, including crime and school ratings and a full house description, fans of the movie will be able to read between the lines and spot the references -- for example "Housing development is built on a site with a lot of history" or "Spacious living room with an open layout, perfect for entertaining numerous guests." There's also a list of nearby crimes including the likes of "demonic possession" -- and you've got to ask why the elementary school rating is "below average."
Trulia, which teamed up with Fox Pictures and Olson for the campaign, has also included cinemagraphs in the listing's photo gallery featuring animated details seen in the movie, such as the flashing TV screen or rattling closet doors (still versions are shown above). You can also click on a map to see where other haunted properties can be found throughout the U.S.
Realty brands have had fun with other TV and movie locations -- for example, Century21 listed Walter White's house from "Breaking Bad" on Craiglist -- and we look forward to more entertaining examples.
