Tullamore Dew Turns Its 'Parting Glass' Ad Into a Social Campaign

Tullamore Dew has followed up its beautiful short film "A Parting Glass" (one of Creativity's 2013 picks and a Silver Lion winner at Cannes) with a social media campaign in which people can send a personalized Parting Glass Toast, featuring the Irish gents from the film, to their friends. The campaign, by We are Social, sits on the Irish whiskey brand's website, where users can choose from several themed films (including new job, exams, new home, birth and of course marriage) and send them to their friends, with a personalized name and message, via Facebook, Twitter or email.

In each clip the guys are seated at a bar (having presumably moved on from the church in the original film) and the toast is tailored to the situation with similar cryptic dialogue to the original film by Opperman Weiss. There's also a competition to win a trip to Ireland; people can enter by sharing a video or image of their own "parting glass" moment via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #PartingGlass.
