Further Outdoor Ads Address Issues Rather Than Candidates

As the U.S presidential election draws near, Twitter has rolled out a further phase of outdoor ads following its eye-catching Trump and Clinton billboards unveiled last month.

This time the social media giant is addressing not the candidates, but some of the issues dominating the conversation in the run-up to Election 2016.

Images included highlight the refugee criss, melting polar ice caps, the legalisation of cannabis, gun laws and the Black Lives Matter movement. There's no copy, just a hashtag next to each image (for example, a close-up of a cannabis plant.)

The effort was led by Jayanta Jenkins, Twitter's recently appointed global group creative director.
