These Quirky Napkin Ads Reveal Some Funny Truths About Eating Habits

Funny, Gross and Fun Spots Are From Vanity Fair Napkins and Figliulo & Partners

Editor's Pick

A quirky new series of TV spots by Vanity Fair napkins reveal some funny, gross, and uncomfortably realistic truths about people's eating habits.

The ads, by Figliulo & Partners, include one seen here that features a hungry father picking discarded bits of food out of his baby's bib and solemnly eating them. There's also a woman cooking something in a pot who decides it's so delicious she's going to sit down and devour it off her wooden spoon along with a nice glass of wine, a man eating with his girlfriend's Asian family who slurps noodles straight from the bowl rather than with his chopsticks, and a guy at a party who demolishes an entire plate of chicken wings. We've kind of all been there, even if most of the situations are the kind of thing most people do when no-one's looking.

All end with the protagonists neatly dabbing their lips with a Vanity Fair napkin, and a moustachioed watier announcing "How lovely!"

Hank Perlman at Hungry Man directed the campaign. Read about the strategy behind the work on Adage.com.
