Blattner Brunner/Washington D.C., which describes itself as a "marketing services firm dedicated to re-energizing brands," has been recognized for outstanding identity design with the selection of eight logos to appear in the 2004 edition of American Corporate Identity/20 Annual, an annual showcase of corporate identity work, which will appear later this year. Blattner Brunner offers comments on the logos:

Coquico: "The spirit and culture of Puerto Rico are brought to life in the plush toys created and sold by Coquico. To bring attention to the island's nocturnal tree frogs, the coqui, a simple, line-drawn logo is given character with large, bright eyes."

AdviceZone: "A personal and professional advice website. The graphic mark is simple, clever, and bold."

Clean & Polish: "The development of a branding system for this commercial and industrial building maintenance company centered around an image that would simply and clearly communicate its broad range of services, as well as its experience and professionalism. This playful yet serious mark forms the base for a look that conveys the company's commitment to these elements."

Telebright: "An entire marketing identity was needed for TeleBright.com, an unbiased resource for small- to medium-sized businesses to peruse, compare and purchase telecommunications services. The concept of this 'bright idea' is portrayed by a light bulb, but in a way that doesn't appear trite. Applications include stationary, pocket folder, advertisement and website."

National Center for Family Philanthropy: "NCFP not only encourages charitable giving but helps donors throughout the process, with numerous workbooks, manuals and guides. The graphic logo mark is modern, elegant, and sophisticated."

Onpoint Digital Inc.: "A logo for an e-Learning company. The graphic mark is clean, simple and high tech."

U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO): "Identity of a government office that promotes the progress of science and the arts by securing inventors exclusive rights to their discoveries."

ICF: "SmartWay, a logo designed for the EPA's Environmental Transport Program. SmartWay brand signifies a partnership among government, business and consumers to protect our environment and improve our air quality for future generations. The graphic of the SmartWay logo is formed by the cloud, road and leaf elements." See www.blattnerbrunner.com for more info.
