To celebrate the benefits of broadband internet service, Verizon sponsored the second annual ProMotion Pictures Film Competition, in which film and business students at New York University pitched ideas for short films that show how broadband enriches lives. The three winning teams received $40,000 each to commit their ideas to film, and the finished shorts—"Adventures of Modem Boy," "Back Home" and "Grey Woman"—can be viewed at verizonbroadbandfilms.com, where visitors can also access director bios, behind-the-scenes documentary clips and original scripts and storyboards.
